10th Challenge Bibendum in Rio de Janeiro from 30 May to 2 June 2010: Rallying together towards a renaissance of road transport after the downturn. Challenge Bibendum, initiated by Michelin in 1998, is a concerted effort by pre-eminent players in the automotive world - vehicle manufacturers, technical partners, energy suppliers and research institutes - to provide political and economic decision makers, as well as opinion leaders, with insights and in-depth understanding on the latest advanced vehicle technology to: • reduce the energy consumption per vehicle, • ensure energy supply security for road transport, • reduce carbon dioxide emissions, • reduce emissions of local pollutants, • mitigate noise pollution, • lower the number of road accidents, • improve traffic flow, • achieve a better correlation between vehicle design and ultimate use, ... while retaining the enjoyment and individual liberty of road mobility. Challenge Bibendum gathers over four days more than 3500 representatives from business and industry, the scientific community, international and national institutions, NGOs and media to explore the challenges and solutions for sustainable road mobility. We count on your presence in the Challenge bibendum 2010. You can not remain outside this debate that discusses the sustainable mobility in the world.
